Sian’s MA work is about how textile art can explore emotion and temperament. The work involves layers, texture and natural elements. The passage of time and remembering plays a part, with an emphasis on family.
Working collaboratively with Tracy Dryden-Jones and looking at the textile work of Ann Richards, they have produced ceramic and textile pieces. These respond to the texture and structure of Richards’s work, accentuating the folds and the corporeal quality of the textiles.
