Jeff is an engineer by weekday and a woodturner by weekend. He produces both functional and decorative turned wood from his workshop in Surrey. Having always been fascinated by wood, he turned to making in 2019. The practical applications of engineering and turning both encourage the exploration of material, mechanics and beauty. Jeff finds working with wood both a challenge and a delight - each piece of wood holding its own story, history and character, each piece revealing itself as the tools do their work and peel back layer upon layer.
